Physician Biography

Dr. Bondi grew up in Park Ridge, IL where she attended Maine South High School. At Maine South, she received All-State honors in tennis, basketball, and softball. She graduated from DePauw University with a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology: Sports Medicine. At DePauw, she was a member of the tennis and basketball teams. In 2007, she won an NCAA Singles National Championship in tennis and was a member of the NCAA National Championship basketball team. In addition, she received the Honda Award for Division III Female Athlete of the Year.

After graduation, she played on the ITF tennis pro circuit. She then earned a Masters of Science in Biomedical Sciences with a certificate in Healthcare Administration and Management from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. She received a Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in 2015, and was recognized as a Swanson Scholar and additionally received The Orthotics Group Award for academic excellence. Thereafter, she completed her residency at the Yale Foot and Ankle Surgical Residency Program, serving as chief resident during her final year. During her time at Yale, she also completed the Bako Podiatric Dermatology Mini Fellowship in Georgia.

Dr. Bondi has a passion for sports medicine. Her treatment philosophy focuses on preventative medicine, biomechanics, and nutrition. Her experience and knowledge of various sports provide her with a keen understanding and appreciation for the dynamics and movements required for athletes to minimize their injury risks and return to their sport. She understands that every patient is unique and she creates an individualized, evidence-based, treatment plan for each patient based on his or her goals and activities.

Dr. Bondi enjoys staying active by playing tennis, paddle tennis, skiing, speed skating, running, swimming, and cycling. In addition, she continues to participate in various marathons and triathlons. Her hobbies include reading and traveling.
