Physician Biography
Dr. Rebecca Stack completed her BS in biology and pre-medicine from Augustana College. She worked as a certified nurse aide, on a surgical inpatient floor, where she was first introduced to the podiatric profession. This experience served as the catalyst on her journey, and four years later she earned her Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine & Surgery from Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Stack then completed a 3-year foot and ankle surgical residency in Denver, Colorado, at the Highlands-Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center, where she trained under several of the leaders in the profession and served as chief resident during her final year.
Dr. Stack’s comprehensive training included diagnosis and treatment of all disorders in the lower extremities. She enjoys treating all foot and ankle pathologies including pediatrics, athletic injuries, forefoot and rearfoot deformities, and those affected with arthritis. In addition, she specializes in reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle, ankle arthroscopy, and total ankle replacement surgery. Dr. Stack treats her patients like family and takes the time to get to know them. She believes every patient should be treated with respect and given a chance to be heard. This patient-focused care allows her to work with patients to achieve their specific goals and tailor treatment to each individual’s needs and concerns.
Dr. Stack is an Illinois native and grew up in Naperville. The majority of her family lives in the northwest suburbs and she is very excited to return home, treat those living in her hometown, and give back to the community that raised her. She and her husband, Andrew, (and their cat, Dash) are going to miss the hiking, snowboarding and other outdoor activities that the Colorado Rocky Mountains provided during her training; however, they are excited to live close to family and friends again. In her spare time she enjoys going on bike rides, trying new and delicious food, and traveling.
